The project is co-financed by public funds of KSAP and project partners: Mazowieckie Voivodship Office (MUW), National Institute of Local Government (NIST), Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) own budget.

Project objective

The objective of the project is to support and promote the effective management in public sector entities in Poland through:

identifying innovative trends in the functioning of public administration,
sharing experiences and conclusions from ongoing scientific research,
creating of a platform for the exchange of good practices in the management and functioning of public administration units.

Beneficiaries

The project is primarily addressed to the public sector employees, with particular emphasis on central and local government administration leaders and managers.

Description

The core idea of the project is to identify innovative trends in public administration operation mode and promote good management practices in Polish public sector by bringing together practitioners, experts and innovators together to inspire and learn. Main project implementation forms are:

  • good practice exchange meetings,
  • panel discussions,
  • workshops,
  • seminars,
  • conferences

concerning issues in selected areas of public institution management.

Starting from presentation of good practices, through panel discussions, mini-workshops, seminars and conferences to contest for the best innovative practices, the project builds up the ability to change by developing a self-learning community. Panel discussions become both a source of inspiration and an area of confrontation of various perspectives, as experts represent both public and private sector.

The Public Management Forum with its roots reaching Public Institutions Management Academy developed in 2013-2015 operates since 2017. Each year four to five events are organized in form of conferences with workshops on given public management topics such as: data management (cybersecurity, AI), HR issues (diversity, talent management), public procurement, project management, behavioral innovations, coaching in administration and many other topics that fit into the most current development trends in public administration.
